Adidas: All Day I Dream About…Sativa?
At least that’s the impression we’re getting from the newest Adidas TV ad. Roughly over a minute long, the video aired during the most recent presidential debate and features a commercial marijuana growing operation.
This isn’t the first time Adidas has shown support for the marijuana industry. Last spring, they released a special-release sneaker made from hemp and appropriately named Stan Smith Vulc “Happy.” All just in time for 4/20.
But the ad isn’t just shock factor, it’s a commentary on the future. “Your future not mine” paints an existence where people grope one another in underground virtual reality clubs, droves of copycats pose with selfie sticks and men in hazmat suits maintain marijuana growing operations.
