XJ-13

XJ-13Government conspiracies? Revolutionary freedom fighters? We’re in. XJ-13 from All American Cannabis Club in San Jose is an 80 percent sativa, 20 percent indica hybrid that tends to have strong head effects that melt stress. It’s is a cross of Jack Herer and G-13, two equally impressive strains in their own right. Named after the pro-hemp activist and author, Jack Herer is a storied, 70-30 sativa that won the seventh High Times Cannabis Cup.

According to marijuana folklore, the original G-13 cutting was a potent indica rescued from a government research facility by an unknown technician. Presenting itself in small to medium-sized nugs, XJ-13 is very lime green with bright orange hairs. It’s spiny, angular, dense and maximally covered in trichomes.

Well-cured, this strain break with an audible snap, and the grind brings out smells of candy–piney but sweet with citrus notes.

The effects are very energetic, and psychoactive with a medium-lasting length of effect. Patients report it helps relieve depression, symptoms of PTSD, as well as anxiety, muscle spasms and arthritis pain.
