I always tell friends and family that the most important race from the 2010 election is still going on. The California Attorney General seat is still unfilled, with votes being verified as I type. It is vital to the future of the marijuana movement that Steve Cooley does not win. Things are looking favorable. Here is the latest from San Diego’s ASA Chapter:

Kamala D. Harris (Dem) is leading Steve Cooley (Rep) by 53,581 votes for the office of California Attorney General as of Monday November 22, 2010, 6:16 p.m. as reported by the California Secretary of State.

HARRIS 4,352,280 – 46.0%

COOLEY 4,298,699 – 45.5%

The count is expected to be finished by November, 30 and the totals should be tallied no later than December 3rd.
