Attend The 2013 Missouri Spring Cannabis Law Reform Conference

show me cannabis regulation missouri smcr spring cannabis law reform conferenceShow-Me Cannabis will be hosting a conference on the hows and whys of reforming cannabis laws in Missouri and nationwide. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Downtown located at 200 North Fourth Street, Saint Louis, MO 63102 on Saturday April 13th from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

General admission to the event costs $10 and $5 for students. Tickets can purchased here:

Tentative Schedule

11:00 – 11:15: Opening Remarks (SMCR Executive Director John W. Payne)
11:15 – 12:00: Law Enforcement for Cannabis Law Reform (former narcotics agent Travis Noble, former U.S. Assistant Attorney David Rosen, former Denver cop and LEAP member Tony Ryan, and Saint Louis City police sergeant Gary Wiegert)
12:15 – 1:00: Break to Get Lunch
1:00 – 1:45: Local Reform — Promises and Perils (Saint Louis Alderman Shane Cohn, Joplin activist and former SMCR board member Kelly Maddy, SMCR board member and president of Springfield Cannabis Regulation Maranda Jo Reynolds, and SMCR board chair and author of Columbia’s cannabis reforms Dan Viets)
1:45 – 2:30: Conservatives for Cannabis Law Reform (Gary Wiegert and Bill Hennessy of the Saint Louis Tea Party)
2:30 – 2:45: Coffee Break
2:45 – 3:30: Reforms in the Legislature (Rep. Rory Ellinger, Rep. Mike Colona (depending on his availability), and Rep. Paul Curtman)
3:30 – 4:15: State of the Movement in Missouri (SMCR board members and NORML chapter leaders)
4:15 – 4:30: Break
4:30 – 5:00: Publisher Ray Hartmann (Saint Louis Magazie and founder of the Riverfront Times)
5:00 – 5:45: Keynote (Tony Ryan of LEAP)
5:45 – 6:00: Closing Remarks (SMCR Executive Director John Payne)

A fundraising dinner will follow at 7:00 at Saint Louis Italian Restaurant and Pizza Company (310 De Baliviere Avenue, formerly Talaynas on the Park). Tickets for that dinner can be purchased here for $10:
