If you read this blog regularly, then you know that I absolutely love the organization Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP). Their message is very unique, and very vital to ending the war on marijuana. One of my most prized possessions is an autographed picture of LEAP's Executive Director Neill Franklin. I will probably be buried with it, because I admire him so much. Below is an e-mail that I received from LEAP. If you are able, please consider making a donation:
As we near the end of 2015, I want to thank you for your loyal support of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. Our efforts in advocating for an end to the War on Drugs wouldn't be possible without you, and right now, you have the opportunity to double your impact on LEAP's work.
2016 is going to be a monumental year for LEAP. We'll be focusing on targeted campaigns to help states on the verge of marijuana reform; leading advocacy efforts for legalization, regulation, and control from a law enforcement perspective; and increasing our recruitment of active duty officers.
You are counting on LEAP to lead the way out of the War on Drugs, and LEAP is counting on you to help make it happen. We need you to get us off to a strong start in the new year. Make a tax deductible contribution today to help us reach our $20,000 goal and make twice the impact on LEAP's work in 2016.
With sincere gratitude,
Major Neill Franklin (Ret.)
