sean azzariti colorado amendment 64 veteranCampaign To Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol In Colorado Launches New Ad

By Corporal Sean Azzariti

My name is Sean Azzariti. I served in the Marines for six years and was deployed twice to Iraq.

In war, you see things that change you. And when you come back home, life can be extremely hard. When I came back, I experienced symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Marijuana was the medicine that helped me most. It calmed me down, brought down my heart rate, and relieved my anxiety almost immediately. I know this is true of many veterans I served with as well.

But here in Colorado, PTSD is not on the list of approved conditions for medical marijuana. This means that veterans who seek to alleviate their suffering with marijuana must do so illegally. It’s not right, and it needs to change.

That’s why I told my story in an ad on behalf of the Yes on 64 campaign that’ll start airing in Denver today. I hope that every Coloradan who has not yet cast a ballot gets a chance to watch this before they do.

Please forward this message to any friend or family member who hasn’t made up their mind yet on Amendment 64. And please, if you know any veterans in Colorado, pass it along. They need to hear it before they vote.

Thanks so much for all your support.
