When it comes to learning about the marijuana industry, I always tell people to learn from people that have actual results that they can point at. There is an endless supply of people that will tell you hype stories about what they are goingto do in the industry, but that's much different than someone telling you about what they have already done in the industry. When a person takes that approach, they will see very quickly how short of a list that actually is. One person on that list is Tripp Keber from Dixie Elixirs and Edibles.
Tripp Keber is one of the most successful people in the entire cannabis industry. His company, Dixie Elixirs and Edibles, is one of the most well known brands in the marijuana industry. I have read articles where Mr. Keber expresses a desire to be the first national marijuana brand, and with the way him and his team are going, that's a very real possibility. The first time that I ever saw Tripp Keber was at the 2013 Cannabis Cup in Denver. He was walking through the event surrounded by a bunch of huge security guards. I remember standing there looking at him walk through the event and thinking to myself, 'that is impressive.'
'Impressive' seems to be a theme when it comes to Tripp Keber. I have seen him speak on a handful of occasions, and he always leaves me wanting more because he such a dynamic public orator. He has a vision for Dixie Elixirs, a much better vision than 99.9% of the other companies in the cannabis industry. I respect that. Below is a bio of Tripp Keber, via the National Cannabis Industry Association:
As one of two original founders of the Dixie Elixirs and Edibles company, Colorado's premiere licensed marijuana infused products manufacturer (MIPS), Tripp Keber now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Dixie Brands, Inc. Widely hailed as one of this nascent industry's indispensable leaders, when Tripp isn't thinking about the future vision of Dixie and the industry, he is supporting the efforts of the National Cannabis Industry Association, where he is a founding member and current Board Director. Additionally since 2013, he has served as a Board Member of the Marijuana Policy Project as well as an Advisory Board member of the Medical Marijuana Industry Group in Colorado. In his current role as CEO of Dixie Brands, Inc,, Tripp gets to work on the really "fun" stuff and is responsible for the overall strategy, licensing, marketing, branding and expansion efforts related to the Dixie brand both domestically and internationally.
Prior to building Dixie into a cannabis leader, Tripp served as Chief Operating Officer for Bella Terra Resort Development Company, and EVP of Business Development for Sagebrush Realty Development.
He has a BS in Political Science from Villanova University and currently resides in both Aspen and Denver, CO with his family. He is involved in several charitable organizations located within his community, but his greatest philanthropic passion is assisting in the research and development of cannabis support for veterans suffering from PTSD.
Business, lobbying, activism, advocacy - Tripp Keber does it all. That's someone that we can all learn something from. Tripp will be speaking at the 2015 Cannabis Business Summit, hosted by the National Cannabis Industry Association, which takes place from June 29-July 1 in Denver. Mr. Keber will speaking on the topics of marketing and branding in the cannabis industry. Tripp Keber will be joined by many other leaders from the cannabis industry.
