FREE Webinar on California’s Cannabis Industry Today

By Canna Law Blog on September 14, 2016

POSTED IN EVENTS

Our FREE Webinar on California cannabis is TODAY, starting at 1:30 PM Pacific Time. The webinar is on Medical Marijuana and Legalization in California: What You Need to Know Now.

Go here on Eventbrite to sign up for your free ticket to be able to attend. We will take on new sign-ups up to the start of the event.

Three of our California marijuana business and regulatory lawyers (Tiffany Wu, Alison Malsbury, and Hilary Bricken) will be discussing the laws and rules you should know regarding current California medical marijuana laws, the MCRSA, the AUMA, and the corporate and regulatory transition that’s going to take place over the next two years. Robert McVay (our lead cannabis corporate law attorney) will be our moderator as we cover compliance issues, licensing standards, investment, the transition from a non-profit to a for-profit entity, and MCRSA and AUMA local law requirements.

In 2015, California passed the Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MCRSA), which creates a comprehensive licensing and regulatory system for medical marijuana businesses. And this November, Californians will vote on whether to legalize marijuana for adults 21 and up through the Control, Regulate, and Tax Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA). Needless to say, anyone currently involved with California’s cannabis industry, or looking to get into California’s marijuana market, needs to know about how these new laws and their eventual corresponding rules and regulations will impact them. Our webinar will give you a general overview on what you need to know now to succeed in what is going to be the largest (by far) cannabis industry in the United States.
