pittsburgh normlPittsburgh, PA – Local political activist group Pittsburgh Norml (Pittsburgh’s National Organization for Reforming Marijuana Laws) announced that they will be hosting another “Rise Up and Rally” at Flagstaff Hill, Schenley Park on Saturday September 7th, 2013 from 3-6PM. Pittsburgh NORML and the Pittsburgh NORML Women’s Alliance Brings to you another Must Attend Event featuring guest speakers, crafts, music and much more. “We have already done a few marches and gatherings downtown but wanted to take this one to a park setting.” Says RastafarIsaac, Director of Communications for PittsburghNORML.org. He adds; “Through entertainment and education we hope to reform these archaic and ridiculous laws concerning a very useful plant!”

The Rally is designed for people from all over Pittsburgh and vicinity to civilly and peacefully uphold their freedom of speech for marijuana. No acts of civil disobedience will be encouraged, (i.e. the public smoking of cannabis), in fear of persecution and invalidation of the rally and public forum.

There will be a “Media Only” Press Conference/Luncheon two days prior to the event on Thursday September 5th from 3-5 PM at:

Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grille
2106 Penn Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (Strip District)
Space is limited so please RSVP to ensure your spot.
Special Guest Speakers including Veterans, medical patients and activists will be available for questioning and interviews (please see excerpt below).

Stand up and let your voices be heard! Join Pittsburgh NORML and the Pittsburgh NORML Women’s Alliance as we rally to end cannabis prohibition. The “War on Drugs” has caused hundreds of thousands of cannabis users to be arrested each year. It’s time for people to stand up and say “no more”!
