Veterans Unite To Support Colorado Amendment 64

You’d think the state of Colorado would support our veterans by giving them legal and safe access to medical marijuana in order to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Given how much they sacrifice for our country abroad, you’d think we’d do everything in our power to help them upon their return.
Unfortunately, we don’t. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) denied for the second time a petition to add PTSD to the list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana — so for now, it’s still illegal for a veteran to use marijuana to treat PTSD.
That’s why just yesterday a group of Colorado veterans launched Veterans for 64. Amendment 64 would allow veterans 21 and older to use marijuana to treat their condition without fear of arrest and prosecution — a crucial step toward ensuring their well-being.
