DFW NORML along with Texas NORML and Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition (RAMP) are excited to announce a special Texas Marijuana Panel during our July Meeting on Saturday 7/25 at the Live Oak Music Hall and Lounge (1311 Lipscomb St, Fort Worth, TX 76104) from 3-7pm. Topics of discussion include the recently passed CBD bill, political insights learned from the 2015 legislative session, the rights of patients and ideas for the future of marijuana law reform in the Lone Star State.
OUR LIST OF PANELISTS INCLUDES:
– Representative Marisa Márquez, Democrat from District 77 in El Paso that introduced and fought for House Bill 3785 (whole plant medical marijuana) during the 2015 Texas legislative session.
– Jax Finkel, Deputy Director of Texas NORML in Austin.
– Zoe Russell, Assistant Executive Director of Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition (RAMP) in Houston.
– Barbara Humphries, Patient Outreach Coordinator for DFW NORML, medical marijuana patient and breast cancer survivor.
Note: Due to a scheduling conflict, Dean Bortell of Team Alexis will NOT be speaking at this event.

4:00pm – Meeting begins with introductions.
