women growThe Women Grow organization was recently launched, and it has caused a lot of buzz in the marijuana industry and beyond. On May 7th chapters of Women Grow held launch parties across America, and there were a tremendous success. My favorite Women Grow chapter is the Portland chapter, led by Sara Batterby and one of my favorite activists, Leah Maurer.

Women Grow is having a national summit in Colorado this Friday through Sunday. If you have already purchased passes to the event, I assure you, you are in for a treat. But if you haven’t purchased passes yet, there is still time. Women Grow put out on Twitter yesterday that there are still day passes available to the event. The rest of the event is sold out, and I’d imagine these passes won’t last long, so get them while you can at this link here.

If you do make it to the event, make sure to find Leah Maurer and give her a big hug and high five. Leah was a driving force behind Oregon’s successful marijuana legalization campaign. Her husband is also co-owner of this blog, and while he is a pain in the butt to be around, Leah has always been one of my favorite people to hang out with and listen to in the marijuana world (just kidding Travis, you are cool too!). I haven’t met Sara Batterby in person yet, but I have been observing her efforts from afar, and she should be on your ‘must meet’ list as well – I know she’s on mine!
