The Portland, Oregon chapter of Women Grow is holding their next event tomorrow. Yesterday I was told that Oregon Representative Ann Lininger will be speaking at the event. This will be the first cannabis industry event that my wife has ever attended, and I can’t wait to introduce her to all of the fantastic people that are a part of the chapter. Below is more information about the event, via the event’s Eventbrite page:
Welcome to our Women Grow Portland Chapter July Event. We are fortunate to be hosting this event at the beautiful Refuge in South Portland. Thanks so much to our amazing and growing group of sustaining sponsors who are supporting this event:

A special thank you to our Event Sponsor for July:
Mary Babitz with Cascade Botanical
Our very first, and much appreciated, sustaining sponsor Barbara Murry of New Approach Accounting will spend a few minutes talking to us about her business and the importance of strong financial management in our industry.
We also welcome Event Sponsor Cascade Botanical. Mary Babitz will share some information about her business and her experience in cannabis.
The ladies from Cannabis Creative Conference coming up on the 29th of July will be giving an update on that event and we will also be updating you on a busy Summer with Women Grow Portland.
The programming for our July event is themed in celebration of the end of cannabis prohibition in Oregon. All of our speakers played very important roles during the Measure 91 campaign and will be sharing their experiences as well as their insight into the cannabis industry and policy here in Oregon.
Ann Lininger
Ann serves in the Oregon House of Representatives representing District 38, which includes most of Lake Oswego and portions of southwestern Portland. Ann was reelected in 2014 without opposition, and was an avid supporter of the Measure 91 Campaign and helped with the Moms for YES on Measure 91 group. She was named a co-chair of a joint legislative committee to oversee the implementation of Measure 91 and has been busy at work on the topic in Congress ever since.
Meghan Walstatter
Meghan is an owner of Pure Green dispensary in NE Portland and has been a part of our chapter since it was founded. Meghan played a leading role as a member of the Measure 91 Finance committee and helped significantly with the fundraising for the Measure 91 campaign.
Liz Kaufman
Liz is a veteran campaign strategist and has played a key role in too many campaigns to list. Liz was the executive director of the Measure 91 campaign and did an outstanding job in organizing and running the entire campaign from start to finish.
