As we begin the New Year, Americans for Safe Access is pleased to tell you about some exciting new developments about the National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference taking place in February in Washington, DC!

First, we are pleased to announce some of our new Convening Sponsors that will be assisting to facilitate the meetings, panels and workshops at the conference. The Convening Sponsors will ensure that the many different stakeholders involved in the medical cannabis community will be represented. Each of the stakeholder groups will utilize the conference to meet and discuss moving forward with safe access and present to the rest of the movement!

We are thrilled to announce that the The American Herbal Products Association will be facilitating the industry meeting; the United Food and Commercial Workers will be leading the labor meeting; co-facilitating the drug policy meeting will be Law Enforcement Against Prohibition; Veterans for Medical Marijuana Access will be helping to lead the veterans session; and the American Alliance of Medical Cannabis will be co-facilitating the medical marijuana professionals session.

It is vitally important to have ALL of our voices heard to successfully come together and bridge the gap between the public and policy. Conference attendees are encouraged to participate in these discussions and to learn more about issues that affect the entire medical cannabis community, and how we can address these issues in the next two years.

This will truly be a unique experience, and a historic moment for the medical cannabis movement. Never before have so many stakeholders in the medical cannabis community gathered in Washington DC to discuss moving forward and to meet face to face with legislators.  This is our chance to show the Obama Administration and the new Congress our strength in unity – and to make our voice heard like never before in the nation’s capitol!

Lastly, as a gift to our members for the New Year, we would like to extend Early-Bird Registration until January 15th.  Please visit the registration page here to save some money and get your tickets today!

This is the medical cannabis conference of the year, and your chance to be a part of the discussion at this pivotal time. You do not want to miss being a part of this incredible opportunity to learn, network, and make your voice heard in the nation’s capitol.

Have a safe and happy New Year, and see you in February!

PS- Our goal is to get as many ASA members to DC as possible, but we know that many of our members are in need of financial assistance to make the trip to DC. In an effort to curb some of these costs by offering scholarships, we ask that if you can afford to give, please make a donation to the conference scholarship fund here. Applications for scholarships will be up January 15th, so please check back at ASANationalConference2013.com for more details.
