Maine Marijuana Implementation Hearing

Below is a message that anyone signed up for MPP updates received today:

The second half of the 128th Maine Legislature begins this week. Lawmakers will revisit the bill put forward by the MLI committee and attempt to find consensus between all the stakeholders. To that end, the MLI Committee will be holding a public hearing on LD 1719, An Act To Implement a Regulatory Structure for Adult Use Marijuana this Tuesday, January 9, 2018 starting at 1 p.m. in Room 216 of the Cross State Office Building (the Environment and Natural Resources Committee room).

If you are interested in having your voice heard, please be aware that:

If you wish to testify, please sign up at the table outside Room 216 the morning of the hearing. The order of testimony at the hearing will follow the order of the sign-up sheets.

If you plan on distributing hard copies of your testimony or other printed materials along with your testimony, please bring at least 25 copies of those materials for distribution.

Testimony will be limited to three minutes per individual speaker.

There will be an overflow room available if seating in Room 216 is full. Information on the overflow room will be provided at the hearing. We hope that the committee will work diligently to find common ground and pass a bill that honors the will of Maine voters.

Warm regards,
