The most featured artist of all-time recently partnered with Hi-Tunes to create branded OG Kokane cannabis strain.

Hi-Tunes Connects Music Fans With Cannabis Like Never Before

Everyone knows music and marijuana go together in perfect harmony, regardless of the style or strain. Cannabis has had a profound impact on the careers of many influential artists, and often crosses over into the way fans enjoy their albums. This notion was one of the main inspirations behind Hi-Tunes Distribution, an innovative company that partners with musicians to create one-of-a-kind branded pre-roll joints. Each tube comes with a QR code on the tube for a free track download.

“Music used to sell sheet music, then records and record players, tapes and tape players, CDs and CD players, MP3 players – and now music has nothing to sell,” explains Hi-Tunes Co-founder Scott McKinley. “We intend to change that by matching music with marijuana. Smoke this, listen to that. It’s a beautiful concept.”

Cannabis and Music – a Match Made in Heaven

Rapper and R&B artist The Legendary Kokane recently teamed up with Hi-Tunes to release an exclusive collaboration with Snoop Dogg. The track, “Don’t Go,” is the first partnership between the most featured artist in hip-hop history and Hi-Tunes and is a throwback to the old-school musical nature of hip-hop.

“This is taking it back home to where you feel proud when you hear this type of song – especially because it’s connected to the higher power of cannabis,” said Kokane, whose real name is Jerry B. Long, in a recent interview. “The song takes you back to when you enjoyed funk music.”

As far as the weed inside the OG Kokane half-gram kief cone pre-rolls (two per tube), the rapper says the high-potency sativa blend is perfect for kickin’ it.

“When you smoke this product, it really gets you in a creative mood. It doesn’t get you freaked out – it gets you in the right tone.”

Hi-Tunes is currently cultivating a proprietary OG Kokane strain. In order to truly elevate the experience, the rapper’s music is being played to the plants as they grow.

“The fans will get the chance to actually taste what they listen to,” he said.
