We’re so happy to be here on The Weed Blog! Allow us to introduce ourselves. Oregon Buds is a light-hearted weekly podcast made up of Mikal, Lead Cultivator for Green Gear Solutions (a facet of Shango), and Chuck, a Cannabis Sales Representative (that means he literally gets to travel around Oregon selling weed, guys).
We’re fairly new to the wide world of podcasting, but we’ve already had the honor of getting to know some very influential figures in the Oregon cannabis community. Our mission? To bring you the stories and thoughts of individuals from all walks of the cannabis industry, and hopefully smash some stereotypes along the way! Our industry is wonderful and unique in so many ways – we’re here to bring you into our world and have a lot of laughs while we’re at it.
Oregon Buds is heavily guest-driven. It’s always been important to us to bring on everyone from the entry-level workers to the CEOs, and we have done just that. Past guests include cultivators like AJ from Alibi Cannabis, activists such as The Weed Blog’s own Leah Maurer, community leaders Lisa and Samantha from Tokeativity, and plenty of representatives from fantastic consumer brands like Empower and Claywolf. These are busy professionals with a lot on their plate who agreed to sit down, toke up, and let us in to their world and how they got to be where they are now. We’re willing to discuss anything on our guests’ minds, but it’s not all business! We usually seem to have a way of convincing our buds to let down their hair. (Product samples, mostly, so toke along while you listen!)

You won’t want to miss this one, as Jesse has been a long-time player in the inner-workings of our industry as we know it today. He has some fantastic insight on how he has managed to build a thriving cultivation company while maintaining 100% respect for our environment, which is surely where our industry needs to be headed!
The future is bright for Oregon Buds, with some seriously exciting future guests to come (no spoilers, sorry!) and hopefully the return of a few aforementioned favorites.
