Arguably the greatest event I’ve ever attended was the first annual Marijuana Business Conference, which took place in Denver the day after Election Day. I had never, and since have never, seen that many leaders from the industry and activist communities all in one place. It’s there that I first met Adam Eidinger, the man behind Washington’s successful marijuana legalization campaign. I still have his business card, which he gave to me after he told me that he planned on legalizing marijuana in D.C. in 2014. That was just one of many interactions I had with world class activists and marijuana industry members.
I wasn’t able to attend last year’s event, and sadly, I can’t make it to this year’s event either due to being poor. But just because I’m full of sob stories doesn’t mean that others are! Marijuana Business Media announced today that with over 2,000 attendees Marijuana Business Daily’s 3rd Annual Marijuana Business Conference & Expo, to be held in Las Vegas, NV at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino November 12-14, will be the biggest gathering of medical marijuana and recreational cannabis professionals in history.
Originally estimated at 1,500 attendees, the show has surpassed all expectations. Now more than 2,000 entrepreneurs and major private investors from more than 30 states and 10 countries have registered to attend. This is a business-only event. The general public is not invited.
Ben Cohen, co-founder Ben & Jerry’s, will deliver the show keynote and help judge the show’s ‘Marijuana Business Funding Pitch Slam’ together with private equity leaders. 70 additional expert speakers will advise business owners on everything from accounting to security. The show’s Expo Floor will feature 125+ exhibitors ranging from financial and legal services to professional cultivation and processing equipment.
The event will be a virtual ‘who’s who’ of the marijuana industry, along with many leading members from the activist community.
