The online activist organizations Anonymous and Team Vendetta have announced that Operation Cannabis 420 needs to evolve beyond marches, social networks, and campaigns. The team has told Toke of the Town it intends to concentrate on communications and outreach as a Phase 2 Upgrade of #OpCannabis420, including the establishment of a central information hub online.

#OpCannabis420, Phase 2 Upgrade will also include the establishment of an Internet radio broadcast on cannabis, and will be exposing and calling out of the narco-warriors who hold a stranglehold on U.S. drug policy.

The big pharmaceutical companies, private prison contractors, law enforcement unions, big alcohol and big tobacco, their corporate lobbyists, and the politicians who accept their contributions in shaping public policy will all be held to account.

“These oppressors make trillions of dollars off the war on drugs by keeping their privately owned jails overcrowded with nonviolent drug offenders!” OpCannabis420 said in its original statement on Toke of the Town back in April. “We are approaching the 11 billion dollar mark that the government has spent on the drug war this year alone and have put millions of nonviolent offenders behind bars. This is a true crime against humanity and needs to end!”
