Philanthropy and the Cannabis Industry: Creating High Impact Partnerships

October 5, 2016
Partnerships
Hosted by the Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO). this event will combine the knowledge of both cannabis industry professional and directors of non-profit organizations to help attendees learn about building partnerships between the cannabis industry and charities. This is an area that will get increasingly more attention as the recreational/adult-use cannabis industry emerges in Oregon and across the country.

As the industry grows in Oregon and beyond, so does its interest in being a strong community and philanthropic supporter. Unfortunately, industry and nonprofit leaders alike are facing challenges engaging in mutually-beneficial partnerships.

In an effort to address these challenges, WVDO has teamed up with Nirvana Ranch Philanthropy to host a unique panel discussion that brings together leaders from the nonprofit sector and the cannabis industry to share their perspectives. Building on experience nationally, join this informed conversation that will guide productive partnerships.  Participants will hear the results of the country’s first research project on the Cannabis Industry & Social Responsibility, explore cases of successful partnerships and engage in discussions that guide future conversations with industry leaders, board members and fundraising staff.
