If You Haven’t Turned In Your Oregon Ballot With A ‘Yes’ Vote On Measure 80, Please Do So Today!
By Robert J. Capecchi, Legislative Analyst, Marijuana Policy Project
By now, you should have received your 2012 General Election ballot in the mail. In fact, many of you may have already voted. If you have not yet voted, please do so today!
Oregon is a vote by mail state. Voting by mail has its conveniences, but if voters fail to return their ballots, they risk not having their votes count. Don’t let that be you — please drop off your General Election ballot at a designated drop box today! If you’re curious to learn where certain candidates for office stand on marijuana policies, please consult this wonderful voter guide put together by Oregonians for Law Reform and published by the Examiner.
Finally, it is the home stretch for the Measure 80 campaign. Polling has the measure behind, so it is important to reach out to those who have not yet voted. If you have some time over the weekend and would like to help end marijuana prohibition in Oregon, please get in contact with OCTA to see how you can help.
Thank you to all who have voted thus far, and if you have not yet done so, please drop off your ballot today!
