overgrow the government 420 dc marijuanaOvergrow the Government, the premier hosts of the annual 4/20 event in D.C, and your Mistresses and Master of ceremonies: Rebecca Forbes, Candace Junkin and Wayward Bill, cordially invite you to the National 4/20 rally, concert and first ever Cash Hyde Day in our nation’s capital! Join us and other cannabis organizations from all over the country, as we come together, in unity, to celebrate the life of our boy of steel, Cash Hyde, and to call out to our Nation’s leaders for the end of marijuana prohibition nationwide.

Overgrow the Government’s 4/20 rally is an annual rally held in Washington D.C., in Lafayette Park at the very back door of the Whitehouse. Participants of this rally unite to discuss, promote, entertain and educate both consumers and non-consumers alike on the benefits of marijuana and to call out to President Obama to end marijuana prohibition. This year’s rally and call is even more important because it is dedicated to our boy of steel, our brave Cash Hyde and his family. His message of hope, bravery and love is one we hope the world and our lawmakers will hear loud and clear!

Overgrow the Government believes that the people of this great country stand to benefit greatly from the end of marijuana prohibition. Medicinally, recreationally, agriculturally and industrially, marijuana reform is important both socially and economically to the communities and families of the United States. Our rally aims to bring all cannabis reform organizations, activists and advocates together in unity, to educate the public and to call for the end of marijuana prohibition.

Events like this take time, work and money to happen. Please consider donating your time and/or making a donation to this great cause. Your generous monetary donation will ensure the success of Overgrow’s 4/20 rally in Washington D.C. You will make a difference in ensuring that this event not only happens, but will continue for years to come; until our voices are heard and marijuana prohibition ends. To make a donation to this great cause go here: http://www.overgrowthegovt.net/apps/donations/

To donate your time or to inquire about a speakers slot please contact Candace Junkin at candace@momsformarijuana.org

More information, speakers and entertainment to be announced as we go! Mark your calendars and plan to join us for this fabulous event!!!

The Moms for Marijuana Cannabis Quilt and Unity Panel will not be here as planned. Due to it’s theft and subsequent and unusual return in Texas, The U.S. panel sustained some damage that needs to be repaired and the Unity panel is still missing. Moms hopes to have The Cannabis Quilt back on tour soon.

*********************Other Speakers*********************

Chris Hirsch: Founder of People for the Cannabis Culture. PFTCC is an organization of people who choose to use cannabis in their daily lives. They are loud and proud about their cannabis use. They choose a plant that has been scientifically proven to be safer than alcohol and they fight for the right to use it. Their motto is: “Our planet, our plant, our choice! Support your right to use marijuana!” Chris has a very compelling story you won’t want to miss. He testifies in his state legislatures on every cannabis bill that comes to committee and is lobbying hard for patients and recreational user alike.

Paola Klockner: Board of Directors, Virginia NORML and Treasurer of NOVA NORML. NOVA NORML is the rapidly growing Northern Virginia chapter of Virginia NORML. After being detained by ICE and stripped of her greencard for a small amount of marijuana, Paola decided to become a US citizen and an activist for Virginia NORML. She has
helped organize and plan numerous NOVA NORML events since it’s inception. She also testifies before the Charlottesville City Council.

Dick Kennedy: A PhD economist who was awarded CIA’s Career Intelligence Medal in 2004, after a 31-year career as an analyst in the Directorate of Intelligence. Like the great majority of economists who have studied the issue, he believes the war on drugs is a failure that can’t pass any kind of cost/benefit analysis. Dick is also a member of the Virginia NORML Board of Directors but his personal drug use is limited to caffeine and an occasional glass of wine.

Savion “Slain Illuzion” Hays: the Owner of The Virginia Hemp Company, Marketing Director of Cannabis Planet TV and Director for the Foundation HOPE (Hemp Offers People Everything). Becoming a Prop 215 patient and Cannabis activist in 2010 Slain has worked with some of the Cannabis / Hemp industry leaders to bring Hemp as a commodity to the mainstream market as to assist in the end of Cannabis Prohibition. The VA Hemp Co’s goal is to eventually see a world in which Hemp is used in every facet of our life. Food, Fuel, Fiber, and Medicine.

We will do a call to the audience for patients and supporters alike to speak and tell YOUR story. If you’d like to speak, please please answer our call and come up and do so. Your stories make a difference. ♥

We will also call for anyone who would like to talk briefly about Cash Hyde and how he and his story affected them and/or their lives. Please consider saying a few words, and educating those who don’t know, about our boy of steel. ♥
