vincent lopezI never met activist Vincent Lopez, but after his passing, the outpouring of admiration on social media clearly demonstrated that he was an amazing person who touched many, many hearts within the reform community. His family needs help with the funeral expenses, and I’m urging all TWB readers to help as much as they can to support such an amazing person’s family. Vincent Lopez did a lot to help the reform movement, so I’m hopeful that the reform movement will give back to his family in their time of need. Below is more information, via the GoFundMe page, which is where you can make donations:

Vincent Lopez was a man loved by all who knew him or had the opportunity to meet him.
Though his body was hindered by Becker’s Muscular Distrophy, his heart was bigger and stronger than that of the biggest men.
Vincent was unable to stand but stood up for the rights and concerns of not only himself, but all those in need of a voice, in particular those who would benefit from the legalization of medical marijuana.  Vincent was an activist who set aside his own pain to rally for the rights of all who suffer, to choose a natural alternative to the evils of big pharma, the effects of which he was all too familiar with.

Strength. Wisdom. Compassion. Friend, leader, inspiration, there are not enough words to describe what Vincent was to so many.

Vincent passed on October 19th.
The devaststion the vortex his passing created cannot be expressed.
We would ask that his family’s finances not be counted among that devastation.
All contributions will be directly attributed to the costs associated with his services and related expenses.

Rest in peace Vincent. You are sorely missed, and never forgotten.

Please share with all who knew him.

*All funds go directly to Josie Lopez
