Media Distributors
We have a wealth of information we need to get to our target audience. If you can help, we need people to take boxes of Freedom Leaf, the magazine for NORML & SSDP chapters, to our local headshops, dispensaries, restaurants, and other outlets that display free magazines. Within each is a 1/2 page ad for Portland NORML. This is something that can be relatively easy to incorporate into your regular errands.
Street Team
Portland has so many great public street fairs and events that we need your help reaching out to all of them. We’re looking for people who can put in an hour or two distributing our educational flyer and stickers to the Portland Saturday Market, outside Blazers and Timbers games, and around the clubs and theaters featuring live music. These opportunities are a great way to get your feet wet and become active in helping educate the public.
Summer Events
We are coming into the season where events are happening everywhere, and we at Portland NORML want to be represented in as many locations as possible. That means we are going to need reliable volunteers to man a booth, help with transportation or work in a variety of other positions at various events. These sorts of events may require that you be prepared to be the face of Portland NORML, helping inspire new Associates and Members and educating the broader public about the issues we are still fighting for here in Oregon. If this sounds like something you are willing to assist with, we would be grateful for the extra bodies helping us cover a variety of simultaneous events!
That Thing You Do
Don’t let our inability to guess your skills stop you from offering them. Maybe you have a creative talent for painting or graphic design. Maybe you have a large van for transporting gear. Maybe you have a crazy amount of frequent flyer miles to donate. We are ready and willing to work with you to maximize whatever you can contribute to our mission.
