The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry (DACF) is holding a hearing on the draft hemp regulations and seeking public input. If you can, we urge you to attend the hearing and present testimony. If you can’t make it, you can still submit your comments on the draft rules via email.

Here are the steps that we want you to take:
1 * If you would like to read the draft rule, download it here
2 * Write up comments to DACF and include the following suggested points:
a. Request that DACF call this an “Agricultural Pilot Program”
b. Limit the licensing fee to $100 and the per acre fee to no more than $10
3 * If you can, please come present the testimony on Thursday in person
4 * Email a copy of your testimony to DACF: [email protected]
