The Weed Blog Partners with Terpenes and Testing Mag

PORTLAND, Ore – January X, 2018 – The Weed Blog (TWB – ), the cannabis industry news and education pioneer now publishing on The Maven Platform, today announced a new partnership with Terpenes and Testing Magazine(www.terpenesandtesting.com) to present readers with cutting-edge cannabis science research and news. Terpenes and Testing magazine will manage TWB’s new “The Science Room” and contribute magazine content to amplify the already robust educational resource cultivated by the TWB team.

Founded in 2010, The Weed Blog is a cannabis news, information, and advocacy site that is hosted by The Maven, an expert-driven, group media network, whose innovative platform serves, by invitation-only, a coalition of professional, independent channel partners.  The Weed Blog is their only cannabis-centric channel. Now celebrating its first anniversary, Terpenes and Testing Magazine – published by MACE Media – is one of the first vertically-focused cannabis publications, and the first with content devoted entirely to cannabis extraction science and technology.

“From our first day publishing, The Weed Blog has been committed to cannabis education,” said Leah Maurer, co-founder of The Weed Blog. “We could not ask for a better partner to guide our science content than Terpenes and Testing, a publication that has built such a strong and credible reputation in such a short space of time. We know that The Weed Blogreaders look forward to the quality content from Terpenes and Testing Magazine on cannabis science, extraction, testing and other sectors of the cannabis industry.”

Beginning in late January, TWB will feature a new science room, moderated by  Terpenes and Testing Editor-in-Chief Cara Wietstock. This unique news stream will feature science-based posts from Terpenes and Testing Magazine, The Weed Blog and the Sativa Science Club. The science room will be published alongside the current daily online news and bi-monthly editorial that has become an industry standard. The Weed Blog currently runs rooms under the topics of cooking, business, growing, advocacy, policy, medical, culture, and events.

“Having the opportunity to continue educating the community on the value of cannabis from a scientific perspective is monumental,” added Cara Wietstock. “This new partnership between The Weed Blog and Terpenes and Testing Magazine will bring more readers into the realm of cannabis science while continuing to keep current readers up to date on science-based industry information.”
