I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. Mine was a bit hectic but still very, very fun. I hung out a lot with my wife and new son, and we made the rounds to hang out with both sides of our families. I got a pretty unique present this Christmas. I found out I was quoted a couple of times in Playboy Magazine’s latest issue.
The article had to do with marijuana strain names. My first quote essentially pointed out that if medical marijuana doesn’t have a listed name at a dispensary, it likely won’t sell. I was also quoted as pointing out that medical marijuana patients who are new, and don’t have a long history with marijuana and strain names, are turned off by some of the names.
I provided quite a bit more quotes for the article, but those were the two that made the final cut. I’ve been interviewed and quoted for a lot of things over the years, some in print form and a lot in digital form. But this is definitely the largest print article that I’ve been included in. I was joined in the article by world renowned grower Kyle Kushman, and one of my favorite marijuana authors of all time, David Bienenstock from High Times.
I apologize to people that are turned off by adult magazines. But if you aren’t, you should get your hands on a copy and check out the article. It’s on page 60 of the Jan/Feb issue of Playboy Magazine. It’s the ’60th anniversary edition’. I own a 1978 Playboy pinball machine that my copy of the issue is going to hangout with in the coming years. When visitors ask, ‘why do you have that magazine out?’ I’ll reply with, ‘I only read it for the articles…no really, turn to page 60, I’m in one of the articles.’ :)
