Americans For Safe Access Host Medical Marijuana Raid Training In San Diego

san diego asaAmericans for Safe Access has launched their 11 day – 11 city tour up and down California this month which will end in San Diego on Thursday, September 1.

In light of the recent federal activity against medical cannabis communities across the country, now more than ever, we must join together to prepare our community for the next steps we will take to protect safe access in California.

Please join ASA Executive Director, Steph Sherer and ASA California Director, Don Duncan for these 2 Free Trainings in San Diego that are open to the community.

Learn to protect your rights and the rights of others in the event you are targeted in a raid and participate in creating a strategy that will secure safe access.

WHAT: Raid Preparedness / Know Your Rights Training — 4-6pm

ASA’s Know Your Rights trainings clearly articulates the specific rights you hold and gives you the effective, specific actions to take in an encounter with a police officer or federal agent, whether you are a patient or dispensary operator.

WHAT: Stakeholders Meeting — 7-9pm

Bring people together to create the political field necessary to implement San Diego medical cannabis laws that meet the needs of patients.
Build patient-led organizations to address San Diego’s ongoing needs for safe access.
Become more aware of safe access issues in other states, the need to change federal law, and what San Diegans can do to help.
