As Illinois starts to gear up for implementation of HB1, the state’s first medical cannabis program, llinois stakeholders will need to work together to ensure that the process moves forward in a way that best benefits and protects patients.
ASA has had great success in many states working with coalition partners such as UFCW, ACLU, industry and patient advocates to write fair and patient friendly regulations. Steph Sherer, ASA’s Executive Director, will be holding a stakeholders meeting on Thursday, August 22nd to get everyone on the same page with the implementation process moving forward. Please join us for an afternoon of discussion about how we can ensure that the Department of Public Health meets its deadlines while still listening to the input of stakeholders.
We hope to have representation from patient advocates, caregivers, cultivators, and dispensary operators for this meeting. Feel free to invite other interested parties as well.
