The first 4/20 weekend following historic marijuana legalization votes in Washington and Colorado is just a week away. We here at The Russ Belville Show and 420RADIO.org are excited to bring you great new tunes from Cheech & Chong to get you ready for the Marijuana “High Holiday”.
Cheech & Chong’s Animated Movie! has its “green carpet premiere” this Wednesday, April 17, at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood. From there it screens in limited release April 18 through April 23, culminating in the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the film on April 23.
Here on The Russ Belville Show, we are debuting five new Cheech & Chong tunes from the Cheech & Chong’s Animated Movie! Soundtrack. The album was produced by Lou Adler and Dominic Kelly, Eric D. Chambers, Branden Chambers and Tommy’s son, Paris Chong. Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong have also recorded a special commentary for each track, which will be available exclusively through Spotify.
The five tracks we’ve selected demonstrate the breadth of musical styles Cheech and Tommy are known for, reflecting the diverse audiences that appreciate the music and comedy of the venerable stoner duo. They are a perfect fit for the eclectic selections that make up our Daily Toker Tunes on The Russ Belville Show.
