The stigma-busting stoner babes over at Ladies of Paradise are embarking on their most political and game changing event ever in June.

On June 23, 2019 Ladies of Paradise will host Conversations where they will work to create a safe and fostering environment to discuss cannabis criminalization, the racial biases we have come to know as ‘the war on drugs’, and talk about how we can work together to shift this reality.

In a time where cannabis is being sold over the counter with smiling faces and happy customers leaving with a receipt for their purchase. It’s easy to not think about darker circumstances where things are not so convenient, or dare we say…legal. this event will feature 3 different panels, all touching on the war on drugs and the racial disparities we are seeing in the cannabis industry.

The three featured panels will include:

–The War on Cannabis – in black and white with the ACLU and Senator Lew Fredrick of the Oregon legislature

–Post Legalization

–Social Awareness – It’s Cool to Care, hosted by Mss_Oregon.

The event will also be including a clemency station where guests can write clemency letters for individuals currently serving time in prison for nonviolent cannabis chargers.

100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the ACLU and two selected individuals currently serving life in prison with-out parole for nonviolent cannabis charges.

Events like this are crucial to the cannabis reform movement and the emerging, legalized cannabis industry.
