Students For Sensible Drug Policy Alumni Are Some Of The Most Talented People On The Planet
As terms and semesters on America’s college campuses draw to a close, another academic year is in the books. For a lot of college students, this was their last semester or term of their college careers. Up next – landing a job, preferably with a living wage and health benefits. I was there not too long ago. I graduated college in 2009 at the age of 28. I decided to pass up a scholarship at a private law school and re-enter the job market…You may remember 2009 as having the lame distinction as ‘the worst time to graduate college in American history.’
Looking back on it, the entire year it took me to get a job after college was one of the roughest times of my life. The lag in employment resulted in the creation of this blog, so not all was lost, but struggling to find a job after college is no fun. The job market isn’t quite as bad as it was in 2009, but it’s far from ‘good.’ Finding a job is still very, very hard. That’s why I’m writing this article, to encourage all businesses and organizations to hire a Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) alumni member. I have had the honor of working with dozens of graduating SSDP seniors this last year, and I can say first hand that your business or organization will benefit greatly from having an SSDP alumni member on staff.
SSDP alumni have a skill set that few other applicants possess. Most of the applicants that will apply to your business or organization likely have generic experience and likely have taken little risk for as much reward as they can possibly get in life. SSDP alumni are ‘cut from a different cloth.’ SSDP alumni don’t do what they do for the money; they do it to try to make the world a better place. Having someone work for pay will never match someone working for pure passion. I have seen SSDP alumni such as Sam Chapman in Oregon do amazing things, motivated only by trying to bring positive change to this planet. Imagine what a guy like that would do for a salary!
Are you looking for someone with leadership experience? Are you looking for someone that has talent, skill, and a knack for organizing? Do you want to hire someone that is going to work harder than any person that you have ever seen before? THEN HIRE AN SSDP ALUMNI MEMBER TODAY! I promise that you will not be disappointed. This goes not just for cannabis businesses and organizations, but for anyone out there that is looking to hire top talent. If you need help finding an SSDP alumni member, hit me up. Give these young superstars a job!
