I have asked readers on multiple occasions to support Students for Sensible Drug Policy’s (SSDP) crowd funding campaign. Students for Sensible Drug Policy lost some of their funding recently, and has been pursuing the crowd funding campaign in order to make up the difference. In the last couple of days some businesses from Colorado announced that they were willing to match up to a $10,000 donation if the crowd funding campaign got up to $90,000.
I just looked at the funding page, and it looks like the crowd funding campaign reached $90,915! Add the $10,000 match and Students for Sensible Drug Policy has reached it’s funding goal! I can’t say enough that this is one of the greatest organizations on the planet, and SSDP has been (and will continue to!) fighting for reform on a level that many other organizations could only dream of. There were times when things dire for SSDP’s future, but thanks to generous people, SSDP will be around to fight hard in 2014!
