Marijuana Industry Leaders From Around The Country Meet Today In Denver
I am lucky enough to attend the 2012 National Marijuana Business Conference in Denver today and tomorrow. If you are also lucky enough to attend – see you there! If not, you should either get down there ASAP to purchase a ticket, or at the very least, follow some of my blog posts about it and see what the event was all about so you can get pumped up for next year. I’m still trying to fit my head around the fact that less than two days ago Colorado became one of the first states in America to legalize marijuana…I pinch myself about every hour to make sure this isn’t a dream.
When one takes into account the fact that Colorado is a legal marijuana state, and that Colorado has been leading the way on medical marijuana even before the 2012 Election, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the gold rush is on. That’s what makes this conference so significant. There are so many venture capitalists scrambling to cash in on the ‘green rush’ and so many creators and inventors also scrambling to link up with them right now. There is simply no better place to do exactly that than the 2012 National Marijuana Business Conference.
I was in Denver for less than an hour and I already saw some great inventions that are about to come out on the market. And as loyal readers know, there are few things in the marijuana world that I like more than a stellar new ancillary marijuana product. I can only imagine what I will see today at the conference! If you have a product or service that you are trying to get to the market place in an efficient manner, you should really look into contacting some of the people that are going to be speaking at this event.
If you are an investor that that has been trying to crack into the marijuana industry, you should also try to network with the people at this event. Obviously, if you can get here it’s best, but if not, feel free to send me an e-mail and I’ll do my best to get you in contact with some of the speakers. Marijuana is not like any other industry on the planet. All the MBA’s and VC’s in the world can be tremendously successful in other industries, but will no doubt lose their shorts when they try to jump into the marijuana industry because they don’t understand the culture that goes along with it. Investors often try to act like that’s not the case, just to find out that they were wrong the hard way! If they would attend an event like the 2012 Marijuana Business Conference, they would be much more informed, and would be able to link up with TRUE experts in the industry.
