the arcview group troy dayton marijuana industryI saw the following job opening for the ArcView Group pop up and figured I’d pass it along for anyone looking to get into the industry, or move positions in the industry if you are already in it. The ArcView Group is in the media constantly these days it seems like, so I think this would be a fun, outstanding opportunity for whoever they select to fill the position. Below are the details:

A well-known and pioneering company serving high net-worth investors and entrepreneurs in the fast-growing legal cannabis industry seeks an “A” player to join its awesome team of results-oriented professionals. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to partner with a CEO in the public spotlight leading one of the most seismic political, social, and economic shifts of our time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The main goal: to support the mission-driven CEO in being as productive, mindful, and organized as possible in the service of the highest priority goals of the company.
  • Be the first line of defense for everything that otherwise would land on his desk
  • Communicate on behalf of the CEO both externally and internally
  • Handle calendaring and travel arrangements
  • Quarterback the firms work with an outside media consultant and national reporters
  • Organize and negotiate speaking engagements for CEO
  • Reach out to members of Congress and celebrities in politics, business, and entertainment to invite them to speak at company’s quarterly events
  • Light personal support such as manage the CEO’s personal finances as well as car and health maintenance
  • Manage at least one part-time support staff member to assist you in your duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Despite the fast-paced nature of this role, the company culture is one that radically supports a good work/life balance and encourages no-work weekends and an open-ended vacation policy. At least 4 times per year, you’ll travel for a few days to a new city where we put on a world-class newsworthy event and a legendary party for our clients. You’ll work in a newly renovated sunny office with adjustable standing/sitting desks and a spectacular view of downtown Oakland. The Bart stop is literally five steps from the front door of the impressive historic building. The six person eclectic, self-expressed, and fun close-knit Oakland team works with about eight other regular contractors remotely. The team values vulnerability, transparency, attention-to-detail, the kind but sometimes difficult truth, accountability, and commitment to results.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:

The key qualification is that you have excelled in an EA role before and that you have experience working in a small fast-paced environment that requires ingenuity, prioritization, and the ability to generously relate to a wide range of stakeholders. This is a position that will undoubtedly have more to-do’s then there will be time to complete them, so it requires someone who is very adept at prioritizing and managing expectations while also helping the CEO do the same. If you are someone that can’t help but think two steps ahead and gets a kick out being supportive to someone in a way that makes a defining difference in the success of a team, this might be for you. Being a Salesforce, Asana, Squarespace, Bill.com, Expensify, Google Apps, Adobe Illustrator, Ontraport and Mac wizard is a plus.
