On Thursday chapters of the Women Grow organization held launch parties across America. My favorite chapter held it’s launch party in Portland, Oregon. The Portland Women Grow Chapter is led by Leah Maurer and Sara Batterby, two tremendously talented women. Since the event, there has been an outpouring of praise on Facebook from those that were in attendance. The event sold out quick, and I’d expect future events to do the same.
If you were able to attend the launch event, or if you weren’t able to get a ticket in time, you should be aware that there will be monthly events going forward. The next one is going to be on June 4th from 7-10 PM. The location of the event is to be determined. The demand for tickets is high, and I think the organizers are trying to find a location that is larger than the last one so they can meet demand. With that being said, the last event sold out quick, so you should get your tickets sooner than later if you want to attend. Below is a description of the event from the Eventbrite page:
This event will follow our exciting May launch and will focus on education and networking. In addition to many industry leaders, we welcome all those looking to familiarize themselves with the industry or find out about opportunities in the space. We look forward to sharing more information about the schedule and location in the near future.
Thanks and we eagerly anticipate meeting you!
