Purple Kush Marijuana Strain Review
The Kush region is responsible for some of our favorite strains, now adapted for patients here in the states with a plethora of crosses. It’s like The Office of the MMJ world. The Purple Kush we grabbed from The Healing House in Lakewood is about as American as McDonald’s, though, with one giant nug looking more like Grimace than the average strain you see on the shelf. A perfect pairing of O.G. Kush and Granddaddy Purps, the rubbery funk of the O.G. is offset by a pleasant grape nose.
Since this is 90 percent indica, the body stone is immediate and numbing, as relaxing as a hot tub after a day on the slopes. While we expected to feel lethargic from such a heavy buzz, the high was pleasantly functional and long lasting, perfect for foiling a Hamburglar after your lunch. The appetite boost was a nice surprise, but it didn’t lead to munchies. Purple Kush seems to be best for early to mid-afternoon, especially if you’ve been working the grill all day.
