Hemp Milk Recipe
Below is a recipe that was sent to me by the Hemp History Week campaign:
Yield: 3 cups
Ingredients:
3 cups filtered water
1 cup shelled hemp seeds (AKA hemp hearts)
1 tablespoon brown rice syrup
pinch sea salt
Preparation:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in the blender and blend on high speed for 2 minutes.
2. Pour the blended liquid into a strainer lined with 2 thicknesses of cheesecloth set over a large mixing bowl or other container.
3. Allow the liquid to strain through the cloth. When most of the liquid is drained, you can pick up the cloth, twist the remaining out and “milk it.”
4. Refrigerate in an airtight, glass container for up to 3 days.
