Marijuana Fortune Cookie Recipe
Learning how to make a fortune cookie has been on my bucket list since I went to the local Chinese food place as a child. Not only can I mark it off of my bucket list, but I earned extra credit by learning how to make fortune cookies with marijuana in them! You can too, it’s really not that hard. The harder part is figuring out how to put a nug into the cookie instead of the piece of paper with the ‘fortune’ on it…Sour Diesel…in bed…
Ingredients
3 large egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Canna Butter*, melted and cooled slightly
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup finely ground, blanched almonds
1/4 teaspoon vanilla (or 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice)
Directions
Print fortunes on thin strips of papers. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two cookie sheets with silicone liners or parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine the egg whites, sugar and salt. Add the Canna Butter, flour, almonds and vanilla (or lemon juice), stirring in one ingredient at a time, blending well after each addition. Drop tablespoons of the mixture on a cookie sheet about 4 inches apart. Bake until edges are golden brown, about 10 minutes. Turn over one cookie at a time, place a paper fortune in the center letting part of the paper stick out and fold the cookie in half. Pinch closed bring the corners of each cookie together to make a “C” shape. Set on a rack to cool.
Makes 24 cookies.
