Now that all of the turkey has been consumed, I’m sure many TWB readers are looking ahead to Christmas. Everyone knows (or is) a stoner that is reading this post and chances are you are looking for good holiday gift ideas for people that are like minded. Here is a list of things that I will be giving out this holiday season…If you are on my holiday list and you want to be surprised, you should probably stop reading:
Treats made with cannabis butter are always a solid idea. Who doesn’t like a dank brownie or cookie on Christmas? I know a lot of people that just prefer the butter so they can get inventive themselves. Also, if they get a chunk of butter and want to make the treats themselves later, they will get the ‘fresh out of the oven experience.’ Either way, it’s a great idea for the holidays.
Vaporizers are always a hot item. Obviously if you are flush with cash you want to get a Volcano, but even if not, prices for quality alternatives are very reasonable these days.
Stoner movies are always an excellent idea. Click the link for my personal top ten, and many, many more suggestions in the comments section.
Membership in a Norml, Americans for Safe Access, Marijuana Policy Project, or a local organization such as Oregon Green Free is a GREAT idea for any marijuana consumer. It gives the recipient something to do all year long and helps a worthwhile cause; it’s the gift that keeps on giving!
Blunt wraps and rolling papers are a great idea for the old school smoker. I know that I personally love getting zig zags and royals in my stocking…
Pipes, bongs, and bubblers are obvious ideas. We all have that friend that is smoking off the same metal piece of crap that they’ve had for years on end. Perhaps it’s time to go to the local head shop and drop a few bucks on a new piece.
One of the cheapest and most useful gift ideas is wooden kabob sticks. I know what some readers are thinking, “WTF is he talking about.” Anyone that owns a bong, pipe, bubbler, waterfall or gravity bong needs a poker on a regular basis. Chances are, you have rigged some other device (such as a clothes hanger) for this purpose, and it is caked with resin. If not, then you probably don’t have anything at all. You spend valuable lung space and time trying to ‘suck it through’ when you are toking with friends, or are toking at a friend’s house using their clogged piece. With wooden kabob sticks (less than $2 at my local walmart), you get dozens if not over 100 pokers. You can use them until they are fully resined and then discard them and use another. It’s one of the biggest stoner revolutions that I ever witnessed when my first roommate showed me what was up.
Almost every stoner that I know can never have enough lighters. Bics only please; crack torches are not preferred.
If your friend or family member is a grower, than grow supplies are always a GREAT idea. I know I personally would like a high end PH/Nutrient/Temp hydroponic tester, or a new CO2 regulator, or better yet, just go with the gift certificate to the local grow store. It will get used guaranteed!
Stoner Fluxx is one of the funnest games that I have ever played. It is a card game that I haven’t seen too many places on the shelf, but it is extremely easy to find online. Maybe there are other card games or board games that are stoner friendly too…if so, drop me and e-mail so I can check them out!
Joint roller and grinders are a good idea for that friend that either loves doobies, or is really bad at rolling them. You know this type of friend; the one that doesn’t break up the herb enough and on top of it rolls super pregnant joints. You can help them out on the down low by giving them the grinder and roller tandem pack.
If your friend or family member doesn’t have a keef box, they are pretty cool. Although, it takes quite a bit of duff/shake to get your keef on, so make sure that your friend/fam has enough around to use it regularly. I have seen many people get keef boxes for Christmas, just to realize that they never have enough scrapes around to use it. However, with more and more people growing these days, and the availability on the rise, these are becoming more and more popular. Get a good one that is hand held sized — a keef box that takes two hands to shake is pretty lame in my opinion. I like a good medium sized one personally.
Stuff to clean bongs, pipes, and bubblers are always useful. You can get cleaner from any local head shop, but the link I included in this paragraph shows a really easy method that only takes salt and rubbing alcohol. You can probably stock your buddy up for a whole year at rock bottom prices!
