Two amazing activists have joined the Portland NORML Board of Directors, and I wanted to personally thank them and congratulate them. I have never met Trista Okel, but I have heard a lot of good things about her and know that she has worked very hard over the years to fight for justice. I have never met Lindsey Rinehart in person, but I have talked with her a ton over the years over the web, and she is hands down one of my favorite activists. I have always supported her over the years, and will continue to do so in her new role at Portland NORML. Below is the announcement from Portland NORML - please consider making a contribution to their efforts and join if you are the area (lots of great people over there!):
Special Announcement: Portland NORML is excited to welcome Trista Okel and Lindsey Rinehart to our Board of Directors!
Trista Okel is the founder and aromatic alchemist at Empower BodyCare. Trista studied journalism at the University of Oregon, and has been an active leader in the cannabis community for many years.
Lindsey Rinehart is the founder of her nonprofit organization, The Undergreen Railroad. Lindsey is currently a Compliance Specialist/Lobbyist at Sirius Extracts, and writes for Dope Magazine. Lindsey has also been an active leader in the cannabis community for many years.
With Oregon continuing to face changes and challenges ahead, Portland NORML couldn't be happier to welcome Trista Okel and Lindsey Rinehart to the team. We look forward to serving the cannabis community by working to ensure that our freedoms are protected!
